Monday Movie – You’re Welcome

I watched Moana for the first time a couple of months ago, and I absolutely loved it. Most of the songs stuck with me, but this one possibly the most. Every time I say “you’re welcome” to someone, I tend to hum the song. I can’t help myself, it’s so catchy!

When I went home for Easter I heard my three year old niece singing it, which was adorable. She doesn’t know English, so she was just making noises that sounded similar to the words. Cutest ever.

Without further ado; You’re Welcome from the Moana movie, sung by Dwayne Johnson.

Monday Movie – The Song of the Summer

Once upon a time I posted a new YouTube video that I had found every Monday, and for some indiscernible reason I thought that’s something I could start doing again. So here goes!

This is Logan Paul’s Song of the Summer. It’s very weird and silly, but kind of fun. It reminds me a bit of Lonely Island in the style.

Monday Movie: Supernatural Parody

You’ve probably already come across this, but I’m not a big Youtube viewer so I miss most things until a friend or brother show it to me. I found this one quite funny, maybe because I also think that “Shake It Off” is a very catchy song. Seeing the real actors towards the end is possibly the best part. That and “fake” Dean doing the Eye of the Tiger moves.

Monday Movie – Fight Song

Let’s do a Monday Movie! Though this is more the song than the movie. I don’t know why, I just really like this one. Have a playlist that I run through when at the PC, and this is one of the newest additions.

Monday Movie – Elastic Heart

I love this video. I’m not entirely sure why. Maybe because the little girl is such an amazing dancer, with her facial expressions and everything. Or maybe because it’s so sad towards the end. In any case, I really like it (and the song).

Monday Movie – Thunderstruck (2Cellos)

It’s Monday again, so I’m sharing another YouTube clip!

I never new cellos could sound like this. Extra points for playing an AC/DC song. Childhood memories! (My dad was always into rock and my childhood was filled with AC/DC and Status Que etc.)

Monday Movie – Save the World/Don’t You Worry Child (Pentatonix)

Another Monday, another movie!

I’ve recently discovered the Pentatonix, an a Capella group with a lot of YouTube videos. They apparently won the third season of the Sing Off in the US. In any case, I think they’re amazing. I love how a Capella can sound like there are instruments and everything.

Monday Movie – Shatter Me

There are so many fun movies on YouTube, I just feel that I have to share some! This one is from the very talented Lindsey Stirling, who’s great on the violin. She makes a lot of covers, but this is a song she’s written herself, and she has help from Lzzy Hale on vocals. It’s a very catchy song!

Assorted Thoughts

It’s weekend! (which means no work… huzzah!)

Today it is exactly six weeks until Christmas. Which really means that Christmas is quite soon… This knowledge fills me with childlike glee and makes me positively giddy. Quite sad one might think, but personally I’m just glad that one can still be happy for such small things.

I went to IKEA today with my sister and they had all of their beautiful Christmas decorations out for sale. I’ve decided that this year I simply MUST have a little Christmas tree. I can get lots of nice decorations at IKEA and it’ll all be going up on December 1st and stay until New Year’s! What can I say? I love Christmas and I want to be in the spirit of it as soon as I can.

The other day I went into town to look for a winter coat. I met with less success there than at IKEA. For some reason I couldn’t find a single one that I contemplated buying for more than about five seconds (which is what it took me to get a little closer for a good look). The one that I actually thought was ok my sister said was too similar to hers, so I couldn’t possibly buy that one. (Hmm…?)

I’ve reserved tickets to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on opening night. (Which is 23 November, about a week later than the rest of the world… I’m very upset!) I must admit, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I buy the books the moment they’re out and I watch the movies as soon as I possibly can. If that makes me into an outgrown child, then so be it. (Besides, Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy is very, very … um, very… sexy.)

I’ve bought the first five seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on DVD. (It’s a guilty pleasure of mine…) and just started watching them. Very sad the whole Buffy-Angel thing, but I just have to say that Spike is yummy-yummy. (He just arrived in Sunnydale, insane-Drusilla and all.) Oh, and Xander is cute.

Been buying some CDs as well. (I don’t know what’s gotten into me…)
1. Nickelback – All the Right Reasons
2. Robbie Williams – Greatest Hits
3. Green Day – American Idiot
4. The Corpse Bride (Soundtrack)
5. Pride & Prejudice (Soundtrack)

Status of Synopsis: Still not started. *sigh* I have absolutely no inspiration. Maybe I should just dig a large hole and jump in.

My Happy Ending

I never thought I’d say this… but I can actually relate to one of Avril Lavigne’s songs… This is quite a lot like I feel…

My Happy Ending

So much for my happy ending

oh oh, oh oh, oh oh, oh…

Let’s talk this over

It’s not like we’re dead

Was it something I did?

Was it something you said?

Don’t leave me hangin’

In a city so dead

Held up so high

On such a breakable thread

You were all the things I thought I knew

And I thought we could be

You were everything, everything that I wanted

We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it

And all of our memories, so close to me, just fade away

All this time you were pretending

So much for my happy ending

You’ve got your dumb friends

I know what they say

They tell you I’m difficult

But so are they

But they don’t know me

Do they even know you?

All the things you hide from me

All the shit that you do

You were all the things I thought I knew

And I thought we could be

It’s nice to know that you were there

Thanks for acting like you cared

And making me feel like I was the only one

It’s nice to know we had it all

Thanks for watching as I fall

And letting me know we were done

He was everything, everything that I wanted

We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it

And all of our memories, so close to me, just fade away

All this time you were pretending

So much for my happy ending

You were everything, everything that I wanted

We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it

And all of our memories, so close to me, just fade away

All this time you were pretending

So much for my happy ending.

oh oh, oh oh, oh oh, oh…
